  • 100% Cordura Nylon

  • Machine Wash

  • 1000-denier, heavyweight, cordura nylon

  • Arctic-weight polyester lining

  • Water repellent

This hoodie / jacket is arctic-quilt lined for cold weather conditions. This is carhartts line of the warmest jackets they make (carhartt extreme). It is in fact water proof. It's constructed of tough, military grade 1000-denier cordura nylon. It features two inside pockets, two hand-warmer pockets and rib-knit cuffs and waist. The main seams are triple stitched for strength.

My personal review: Its bigger than the actual size, so order a size down - if you are relatively fit. I am about 20 pounds heavier than i should be for my size, but this jacket is still too darn big. I have a Large, and its just too big. I think they intended for people to wear a bunch of layers under this jacket, but i will tell you: you dont need to. This jacket is warm enough on its own. I work outside, and this jacket is wonderful. I dont feel any wind, nor cold air coming through this jacket. I would certainly buy this jacket again, just 1 size smaller. prior to the season starting, i give it a quick spray with the 3M waterproofer, just for extra protection. The hood is great, it fits hats perfectly.

I have brushed it against many sharp edges, and not a single tear. This jacket is strong. I love this thing.

The bad:

Its a stiff jacket: Its nothing like the "duck" cloth carhart is known for. Which is ok, but i wanted to warn you guys about it. this material is what tactical bookbags and backpacks are made from. Its the same material high-quality suitcases are made from, so understand that going in. Its waterproof, its noisy, its stiff, and its tough.

Its a large cut jacket: as i have mentioned prior, the cut is way too big. i would say order a size smaller, and i bet you will still have plenty room.

I give this jacket an A. I would give it an A+ but its simply cut too darn big.
